Mooseheart Tree Lighting

Jon Budke of Clintonville, WI Lodge 1502, president of the Wisconsin Moose Association, had the honor of hitting the switch on the large Christmas Tree on the House of God lawn early Saturday evening, Dec. 6, during the 45th annual Wisconsin Tree Lighting festivities on the Mooseheart campus. Among those joining him during the ceremony were other officers of the Wisconsin Moose Association (including Secretary Roy Weyker and Regional Manager Gary Beck); Mooseheart Executive Director Scott Hart; Director General William B. Airey; Supreme Governor James J. Gallagher; and Mooseheart Board member Mark Penzkover -- who serves as Tree Lighting Chairman for the Wisconsin Moose Association.

Thanks so much for your Christmas gift; it came in very handy. We are not allowed to keep fresh fruit in our rooms due to Florida fruit flies, (ha ha) so I purchased a small cooler and a few closed containers.

With much appreciation -- Addie Ingram

Dear Wisconsin Moose Association,

It was good to see all the Wisconsin Moose family at our house and at the House of God on Saturday, December 3. It was a wonderful day of visiting, showing off our lovely home that you so generously provided and sharing the handmade goodies that the boys worked so diligently on.

We want to thank you for the generous gift of $300.00. We are not sure just yet what we will use it for, but there are lots of options. Recreation and overnight jaunts are always fun (and expensive) so we may hang on to it for something like that. Or, we may begin to set up an area of one of the boys' rooms as an Achievement lounge with TV and DVD player, etc. This would give the boys an incentive to work hard to reach achievement staus. Of course, the rest would then be spent on something that all the boys could enjoy as well. We hope it is OK to wait until we are sure what is the best use.

God bless you this holiday season. We hope that you find time to relax and enjoy family and friends.

Sincerely,
Dan, Donna Tope, Lou Peryea, Family Teachers

Gabe, Dev, Cody, Anthony, Ethan, Skie, Justin, Peter, Herzel

EDITOR'S NOTE: The boys signed the letter, and wrote like boys, we hope the names are close to correct.

Dear Brother Weyker, Co-workers and Association Members,

This is to acknowlege with sincere appreciation your contribution to the Mooseheart/Moosehaven Endowment Fund, in the amount of $635.91.

You will be interested to know that the donation will be transferred to Moose Foundation where the interest earned from the Mooseheart/Moosehaven Endowment Fund will offset a portion of the expenses for our two charititable endeavors --   Mooseheart and Moosehaven. Therefore, you can see the importance of this thoughtful donation.

The Child City here at Mooseheart, and Moosehaven in Florida, and the services to those entrusted to our care will be better and stronger today and in the many years ahead because of the generosity you manifest in their behalf.

Thank you for your support.

Sincerely and fraternally,
Kurt J. Wolbrink, Executive Director
Moose Charities
